Metric Vernier Caliper Practice Sheets

Reading a vernier micrometer takes practice.  We put together some practice pages with and without answers.  There are two versions, a shaded one that is more realistic, and a non-shaded one that is easier to read.  Both files should print out pretty closely to 1:1 full scale, except the last page which is an oversize version.

The realistic (shaded) practice sheet is very obscure. At least 10 graduations coincide in every question but looking at how far the “0” has moved from the main scale, guesses could be made. Thank you very much the practice sheets.

    Hello,
I am an engineering trainer at the advanced manufacturing research center (Sheffield university, England). I am so impressed with your tutorials on how to read metric micrometers and vernier calipers. Is there any chance you could do some using the imperial/inch scale that we could use for our students.

Hi Bob, I found your Vernier Caliper videos very useful , simple and in laymans terms that anyomne can understand the context. I am using your material to teach students on how to read calipers and micrometers. Your videos are the best that I can find to teach this to my manufacturing classes.
